The whole season,
one number.
Every pass we make over your audio, what it covers, and what it costs.

Aeolian Audio sells podcast production by the season because a season is a knowable thing: so many episodes, so many minutes, one launch date. Below is the rate card, the work behind it, and the single-episode menu for shows that only need a piece of it.

02The work itself

Six passes between raw file and live feed

Most of the fee is attention: a person listening to every minute, more than once, with headphones that tell the truth. Here is what that attention is spent on.

Remote recording direction

We join the session as a producer, not a spectator. Ten minutes before the guest speaks we walk them through mic distance, a quiet corner and headphones, then watch the levels live and flag the siren, the fridge hum and the drift toward the laptop speaker while there is still time to fix it.

A local backup track runs on the guest’s side, so a dropped connection costs a sentence and not an episode.

The clean

Hum, hiss, room tone, plosives, mouth clicks and the dip when someone turns away from the microphone, lifted out by ear, phrase by phrase. We do not run one preset across the file and call it done; a preset hears noise, and it cannot hear the breath you want to keep.

Stumbles and false starts go. The pause before a difficult answer stays.

Mix and master

Dialogue is leveled voice to voice, so the guest on a laptop sits beside the host on a ribbon microphone without anyone reaching for the volume. Music beds are set under the speech at a level that carries emotion and never competes with it.

The final file is mastered to −16 LUFS, the level listeners on Apple Podcasts and Spotify expect, with headroom left for the codec.

Show notes

Written by whoever edited the episode, so they describe what is actually said. Each set carries a two-paragraph summary, timestamps for the turns in the conversation, every link a guest mentions, and three pull-quotes worth putting on a card.

Distribution setup

Your feed is built under your own accounts, with artwork specifications checked and categories chosen on purpose, then submitted to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music and Pocket Casts. We stay until episode one is live in each, and we hand you the logins.

Clips and transcripts

For B2B shows whose real audience is on LinkedIn. We cut captioned audio clips around the strongest minute of an episode and deliver a clean, speaker-labeled transcript, so the conversation can be quoted, searched and shared long after release day.

04A season on the calendar

Twelve episodes, thirteen weeks on the wall

A Full Season runs on a steady weekly beat. Here is the shape of it, from the first call to the last file in your folder.

  1. 00

    Week

    The call and the sign-off

Twenty minutes to map the season, the guests and the sound you want. Half the fee begins the work.

  2. 01

    Week

    Guests prepared

Prep sheets go out, the first sessions are directed live, and the feed and artwork are checked.

  3. 02

    Week

    The first cut lands

Forty-eight hours after the raw files arrive. Two revision rounds are yours to spend.

  4. 03

    Weeks 03 – 11

    One episode a week

Record, cut, review, publish. The rhythm holds so your listeners always know what day it is.

  5. 12

    Week

    Final delivery

The last episode, trailer and chapters arrive; the balance falls due; every master and session file is yours.

The Pilot Run keeps the same beat over six episodes, so it ends sooner and settles at week 06.

B2B brands

A founder-led or customer-interview show

You need a polished feed, clips for LinkedIn and a comms lead who can approve an episode before it ships. Season + Cutdowns, at $3,670, was built for you.

Independent hosts

A conversation you record every week

You want the show to sound like you on your best day, without learning to edit. Start with the Pilot Run at $1,385, or go straight to the Full Season at $2,640.

Questions that come before the first invoice

Why a flat fee and not an hourly rate?

Hourly billing rewards slow editing. A season has a fixed scope, so we quote it once and carry the risk of a difficult guest or a noisy room ourselves.

Which season should I pick?

If you have never published, the Pilot Run lets you test the rhythm for six episodes. If you already know you will hold a weekly schedule for a quarter, the Full Season costs $220 an episode against about $231. Choose Cutdowns when the show has to feed social channels.

Do my guests need studio equipment?

No. We walk every guest through a ten-minute setup, from mic position to a quiet corner, and monitor the recording live. A wired USB microphone is the one thing we ask for.

What if an edit isn’t right?

Each episode includes two revision rounds. Send timestamps and notes, and we’ll rework the cut. A third round is $45 per episode.

Can I add or drop something mid-season?

Yes. Anything on the single-episode menu can be added to a running season at the listed price, and we will confirm the new total in writing before the work starts.

Who owns the audio?

You do. Masters, session files and show notes land in your shared folder when each episode is delivered, and the feed is set up under your own accounts.

Pick your season.

One flat fee per season, from $1,385: remote recording direction, noise cleanup, mix and master, show notes and distribution setup, delivered to a show that sounds like you on your best day. Hours are by appointment, so book a call and we’ll hold the time.
